The exhibition, comprising of 142 photographs taken in the ‘50s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s of the 20th century, is based on the most beautiful portrays of Marilyn Monroe and supplemented by numerous images of other Hollywood stars. The celebrities shown in the photographs presented are, among others, Anita Eckberg, Kim Novak, Sophia Loren (promotional photo for the film “Once There Was”-„C’era Una Volta”, Matera, Italy, 1967), Alberto Giacometti (at the studio), Andy Warhol (New York, 1974) Elizabeth Taylor (photoshoot completed at the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg during the production of the film “The Blue Bird”), Joan Collins, Cary Grant, Jane Fonda, Grace Kelly, Melina Mercouri (posing against Roman ruins in the background), Jacqueline Bisset, Ivy Nicholson (one of Andy Warhol’s stars), Marlene Dietrich (Milton Greene’s studio, New York, June 1952), Audrey Hepburn, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minelli, Richard Burton.The exhibited part of the collection also includes selected reportage photographs, artistic photographs, master sessions with models and photos unveiling the social lie of New York socialites.
The exhibition entry is available from Tuesday until Sunday free of charge.
