The Ostrów Tumski (Cathedral Island)

Called the cradle of Wrocław. This ancient castle surrounded by the Oder originated the city. It holds wonderful architectural monuments - most impressive from them is the gothic cathedral of the St John the Baptist - rebuilt after the war damage - and the church of the Saint Cross.
